The human Super-volcano…
The ‘ZEN COHEN’ supervolcano had arrived, forged by 3 very different elements it flowed and devoured all in it’s path, no-one was safe, Adults and Children stood there in amazement as the Zen Cohen flowed over them until they became part of it.
And it was etched into the tales of history forever.
At least that’s what the old biog said!
An original Blues Power Trio with Mike on vocals and guitar, Bob Thorniley (Grand Illusion) on Drums and Paul (Pabs) Ward on Bass. Zen Cohen was formed by Mike Bee following the end of ‘The Bridge’ in 2005 and had no official releases, mainly concentrating on gigs in Warrington, Manchester and the surrounding areas.
A unique fusion of playing styles created a huge and expansive sound, fusing blues, garage and a touch of country-twang, evident in their most famous song ‘HEY! Zen Cohen’.a much loved Warrington classic!
Zen Cohens final gig was at the 1st Warrington Music Festival in 2007.
No live video exists apart from the rough fan footage below, but while looking through the archives 5 original recordings from 2 studio sessions were discovered much to Mikes surprise [he doesn’t remember it!].
These tracks have now been released for the 1st time ever and are available via this website.
